Can I come see your facilities?
Absolutely. Just fill out our contact form and we’ll arrange a time that works for both of us.
What’s the sign-up process?
Once you get in touch, we’ll send you some quick paperwork to fill out so we can learn about your dog’s background, routine, and any special needs. On your dog’s first walk with us, they’ll start on-lead until we’re confident we understand their behaviour and they’re comfortable in the group setting. As a prerequisite, all dogs must be social and able to respond to basic commands to ensure a safe and fun experience for the whole pack.
What areas do you cover?
We cover several areas around Waipā, including Te Awamutu, Kihikihi, and nearby rural areas. If you’re unsure whether we cover your area, please get in touch.
Do you offer dog boarding?
Yes, we offer overnight stays for our regular pack walk clients. We don’t use kennels, instead, dogs stay with Kate or Rachael in their home. It’s important that we know your dog well first, to make sure they fit comfortably with our own pack. Your dog must be a regular pack walker to qualify for an overnight stay.
My dog hasn’t been desexed. Can they come for a pack walk?
All dogs over 1 year old must be desexed. We also reserve the right to remove younger dogs from the pack if they begin showing problem behaviours before this age.
I’m only in town for a short period. Do you offer casual walks?
Yes we do. Although we do like our pack to stay consistent, so the dogs build trust and familiarity with each other.
What happens if my dog gets sick or injured?
We take every precaution to keep dogs safe and healthy. If an accident or illness occurs, we will contact you (or your nominated contact) straight away. If necessary, we’ll take your dog to our local vet immediately.
Do I need to provide a key?
While not essential, if you’d like us to bring your dog safely inside after a walk, we ask that you provide a copy of your key (or a door code). Alternatively, we can arrange pick-up and drop-off from a secure outside location. This makes things simple and stress-free for you, while ensuring your pup gets home safely and comfortably.
How long will my dog be out for?
The pack walk itself is about 1 hour, but your dog will likely be out of the house for 1.5 to 2 hours depending on travel time and where the walk takes place.
What if it’s raining?
We walk in all weather so you don’t have to! If your dog gets wet or muddy, we’ll rinse and towel dry them so no dirty paw prints are left in the house. If your dog is scared of thunder, please let us know so we can take steps to help them feel safe.
What requirements does my dog need to meet?
All dogs must be fully vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and desexed (if over the age of 1 year) to attend pack walks. They must also understand basic commands and be friendly and sociable with both humans and other dogs.
